검은 새 들판의 왕관 쓴 이*
그는 손에 그의 잘린 머리를 들고 있다
그의 찬란하게 빛나는 은혜
태양의 부섭정(副攝政)
만연한 어둠 속에서
그는 구름 위에 흡족하게 서 있다
찢어진 셔츠에 맨발로
정복한 화룡의 꼬리를 두른 채
그의 잘린 목 위
피가 가득한 잔에
그의 칼의 파편은
한 조각의 빵이 된다
거룩한 어머니 토요일은
그에게 두 번째 생명을 준다
그는 진홍빛 이슬 속에 살아있다
그는 모란의 불타는 원에서 춤을 춘다
그는 이 들판에서 검은 새의 노래를 부른다
THE CROWNED ONE OF THE BLACKBIRD'S FIELD
On his hand he holds his severed head
His bright shining benefaction**
The sun's vice-regent
In the all-pervading dark
He stands beatific on a cloud
Barefoot in a torn shirt
Girt with the tail of a vanquished dragon
In a goblet brimful of blood
On his severed neck
The fragments of his sword become
Morsels of bread
Holy mother Saturday
Gives him second birth
He is alive in the crimson dew-drop
He dances in the burning circle of peonies
He sings in the blackbird's song on this field
