32장. 색신은 모습이 없어라
1. “수보리야! 만약 어떤 사람이 있어 수로 헤아릴 수 없는 무량한 세계에 가득찬 칠보를 가지다가 보시를 한다해도, 여기 선남자 선여인이 있어 보살의 마음을 발하고, 이 경 내지 그 사구게라도 받아 지녀 읽고 외워, 다른 사람을 위해 연설한다면, 이 복이 저 칠보의 복을 뛰어 넘으리라.
2. 그리하면 어떻게 다른 사람을 위하여 연설한단 말인가? 상을 취하지 말라. 있는 그대로 움직이지 말라.
3. 어째서 그러한가?
모든 지은 법이여!
꿈과 같고
환영과 같고
거품과 같고
그림자 같네.
이슬과 같고
또 번개와 같아라.
그대들이여
이 같이 볼지니.”
4. 부처님께서 이 경을 설하심을 마치시었다. 장로 수보리와 그 자리에 있던 모든 비구와 비구니와 우바색과 우바이, 그리고 일체세간의 하늘과 인간가 아수라가 부처님께서 말씀하시는 바를 듣고, 모두 크게 기뻐하여, 금강반야바라밀경을 믿고 받아 들이고, 받들어 행하더라.
須菩堤, 若有人以滿無量阿僧祇世界七寶, 持用布施, 若有善男子善女人發菩薩心者, 持於此經乃至四句偈等, 受持讀誦爲人演說, 其福勝彼。 云何爲人演說, 不取於相, 如如不動。 何以故, 一切有爲法, 如夢幻泡影, 如露亦如電, 應作如是觀。
佛說是經已, 長老須菩堤及諸比丘比丘尼優婆塞優婆夷, 一切世間天人阿修羅, 聞佛所說, 皆大歡喜, 信受奉行。
Subhuti, someone might fill innumerable worlds with the seven treasures and give all away in gifts of alms, but if any good man or any good woman awakens the thought of Enlightenment and takes even only four lines from this Discourse, reciting, using, receiving, retaining and spreading them abroad and explaining them for the benefit of others, it will be far more meritorious.
Now in what manner may he explain them to others? By detachment from appearances-abiding in Real Truth. -So I tell you-
Thus shall you think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightening in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.
When Buddha finished this Discourse the venerable Subhuti, together with the bhikshus, bhikshunis, lay-brothers and sisters, and the whole realms of Gods, Men and Titans, were filled with joy by His teaching, and, taking it sincerely to heart they went their ways.

이제 금강경의 끝까지 왔다. 말을 삼가자. 상을 취하지 말자. 있는 그대로 보자. 32장에 나오는 시 한편 영어로 감상하자.
Thus shall you think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightening in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.
흐르는 세상 이렇게 생각하라.
새벽별, 시냇물의 거품,
여름날 먹구름 사이로 언뜻 빛나는 번개,
촛불의 깜빡임, 환영, 꿈 한 조각이라고
