이재명 대표가 양문석 사건에 ‘주권자 비하 책임져야’의 기자회견으로 16일 공식 발표했고 양 후보자의 칼럼은 ‘노무현지지자가 기억상실증 환자’라서 주권자 비하의 전형을 보인다.
이 민주당 대표는 15일 최고위에서 해당 사건을 ‘정치인의 정치인 비판’에 표현의 자유를 적용했고 공천 유지를 결정했고, 양 후보는 언론연대 사무총장과 방송통신위 상임위원으로 언론통제의 최고 직급 언론인으로 급성장하며 당시 정치인이 아닌 언론인 자격으로 ‘노무현 비하’가 아닌 ‘노무현 지지자인 주권자 비하’가 주종이다.
이 대표는 16일 '실패한 불량품' 비하에 대해 "표현의 자유"라며 "다만 그 선을 넘냐 안 넘냐의 차이다. 주권자를 비하하면 책임을 져야 한다"고 기자들에게 말하며 ‘정치인의 정치인 비판이라서 표현의 자유’로 판단해 공천 유지를 공식화했다.
양 후보는 미디어스에 2008년 "봉하마을에서 환경운동 한답시고 마을 청소하러 다니는 노무현씨에 대해서 '찬양'하는 일부의 기억상실증 환자들을 보면 한편으로 안타깝고"고 ‘지지자’인 주권자 비하를 밝혔다.
그는 이어 "낙향한 대통령으로서의 우아함을 즐기는 노무현씨에 대해서 참으로 역겨움을 느끼지 않을 수 없습니다"라고 퇴직 대통령 비하를 통해 민주당의 추천으로 2010년 방통위 위원(차관급)이 됐다.
그는 이 발판이었던 2008년 5월 15일 언론개혁연대 사무총장 당시 편집위원으로 지배한던 매체 ‘미디어스’에 '미친 미국소 수입의 원죄는 노무현' 칼럼에서 "국민 60~70%가 반대한 한미FTA를 밀어붙인 노 전 대통령은 불량품"이라며 ‘노무현 지지자는 기억상실 정신질환자’로 규정해 ‘지지자 공격’ 시도로 정치 기반을 확대화려는 ‘상대 주권자 비하’가 주종이다.
한병도 전략기획위원장은 기자들에게 "막말의 판단 기준은 일반적 국민의 정서와 상식에 부합하는지 여부"라고 15일 밝혔다.

이 대표는 16일 기자회견을 통해 "노 전 대통령이 자신을 비난했다고 비난한 정치인을 비판하거나 비토하지 않았을 것이고 저 역시 마찬가지"라며 "저에 대해 온갖 험악한 언행으로 당내 인사가 많지만 제지하면 끝이 있겠는가. 그렇게 해선 안 된다. 대리인 일꾼이 주권자 주인을 모독하면 책임져야 한다"고 말했다.
