It Hurts Deeply

Tears Spoken by the Heart

by You앤Me Art Place

It hurts deeply.
My heart hurts, again and again.
A sorrowful, broken heart
hurts like this.

A reed that does not break in the wind
is worn down by even the smallest sigh.
In the emptiness shaped by pain,
it curls in on itself
and weeps quietly.

A wounded deer
walks deep into the forest
and licks its injured leg alone.

A wolf sits alone beneath the moon,
howling the cries locked inside its chest,
enduring the long night
until it passes.

Animals know
there is a time
not to force pain out,
but to let it flow through.

The greater the sorrow grows,
the more the pain
falls into silence.

It hurts deeply.
My chest aches.
My heart
hurts so much.
