보이는 형상, 믿는 형상

고양이는 자신을 본다.
우리가 보는 모습이 아니라, 스스로 믿고 있는 형상으로.

거울 속의 그는 작고 조용한 동물이 아니다.
그는 경계하고, 계산하고, 언제든 도약할 수 있는 존재다.

우리는 부드러운 털과 느린 눈깜빡임을 본다.
하지만 그는 세계의 균열을 읽고,
소리보다 빠르게 움직이는 가능성을 생각한다.

그가 가만히 있는 순간조차
멈춘 것이 아니라, 준비 중이다.

보이는 것과 믿는 것 사이의 거리.
그 간극 속에서 고양이는
이미 다른 존재로 살아가고 있다.

The cat sees itself.
Not as we see it, but as the form it believes itself to be.

In the mirror, it is not a small, quiet animal.
It is alert, calculating, a being ready to leap at any moment.

We see soft fur and slow blinks.
But it reads the fractures in the world,
and imagines movements faster than sound.

Even when it appears still,
it is not paused — it is preparing.

The distance between what is seen and what is believed.
Within that gap, the cat
is already living as something else.
