Physical Strength Skill Mon

Monday (02/17/2025) – Another Reminder That Physical Strength is a Skill

How do you feel today?
I feel slightly emotionally unstable but am gradually finding stability.

What do you want to do today?
Reading, exercising, and practicing embodying my ideal future self.

Good:

After taking a three-day break from intense workouts last week, I was reminded once again that when physical strength declines, productivity drops, and emotional stability wavers. Strength is a skill, and the ability to manage emotions also stems from physical endurance. I must ensure I exercise daily by adjusting workout intensity appropriately, rather than letting my mood dictate my routine.

Bad:

None.

Lesson Learned:

Fear may disappear for a brief moment, and the mind may feel temporarily at peace. However, those who have built up their desires and ambitions as high as their worries will inevitably create even more concerns.

Such individuals have minds that are too noisy. They cannot fully immerse themselves in the present or enjoy the moment, living in a near-neurotic state. As a result, even with sufficient knowledge and capability, they achieve only a fraction of their potential, which in turn feeds their anxiety and worry—creating a vicious cycle.

To protect the tranquility of life from such turmoil, two things are essential:

Stop worrying about things that haven’t happened yet. You must become accustomed to what is right in front of you. There isn’t enough mental energy to worry about distant or improbable events. Recognizing this and fundamentally changing the way you think will allow you to live the rest of your life with a little more peace.

– Arthur Schopenhauer

Gratitude Journal:

I am genuinely grateful for starting another day feeling healthy and refreshed, without worries, and being able to fill my day with things I love.

Today’s Joy:

Completing my daily routine productively, leaving no room for unnecessary thoughts or instability.

One Thing for Today:

Finish all daily routines productively, ensuring no time for unnecessary or distracting thoughts.

Keywords:

Greatness ≠ trivial matters, distractions, emotional wounds, anger, humiliation, hurt feelings.

Today’s Realization:

While controlling unstable emotions and thoughts is important, maintaining a structured and busy routine so that there is no room for such emotions in the first place is even more effective. I also realized that when physical endurance is strong, no matter what emotions arise, they can be naturally overcome without disturbance. Taking an unnecessary three-day break from workouts last week affected not only my physical strength but also my productivity and efficiency. This reinforced the understanding that exercising daily is indeed a skill. Therefore, knowing how to adjust workout intensity appropriately is also an essential skill.
