겹쳐진 거리

Overlapping Distance

말은 줄었고

눈빛은 잦아들었다.

서로의 틈에 익숙해질 무렵

감정은 천천히, 온기를 잃어갔다.

그러나

완전히 차가워지진 않는다.

어딘가 남아 있는 따스한 온기—

그건 오래된 기억의 불씨일까

끝내 끊지 못한 미련일까.

더는 기대지도

밀어내지도 않은 채,

묘하게 겹쳐진 거리 속에서

열려 있으면서도

닫힌 마음으로

그 자리에 머문다.

Words have lessened

and glances grown rare.

As we’ve grown used to the space between us,

our feelings, slowly, have lost their warmth.

But

they have not turned completely cold.

Somewhere, a lingering warmth remains—

Is it the spark of old memories,

or an affection that refuses to fade?

No longer leaning in,

no longer pushing away,

in this strangely overlapping distance

with hearts that are open

yet closed,

we remain where we are.
