Leave These Expression Alone!

Be careful about using certain phrases just because you’ve heard them used before.

1. AVOID: Weak statements:

I’ll attempt to… 로 시작하는 문장

I’ll be speaking on… 으로 시작하는 문장

You’ll be listening to… 으로 시작하는 문장

노노! Clichés or overused quotations or idiomatic phrases

노노! Dictionary definitions

2. DON’T SAY: (Because the audience will ask)

1) I won’t take too much of your time.

(Then what are you doing here?)

2) I normally don’t do this, but…

(What are you then, an amateur?)

3) I’m not sure why I was asked to speak today…

(We’re not sure why we’re listening to you, either, buddy.)
