영어 과외선생님 만들기
1) 생성형 AI를 교육분야에 적용하고자 하는 관심이 높아지고 있고 관련된 자료들도 인터넷에 많이 검색되어, 가장 많이 사용되는 chatGPT와 더불어 copilot을 비교해보고 싶었다.
아직 chatGPT 무료를 쓰고 있다보니 수학 문제의 경우 유료 모델은 성능이 뛰어나는 것을 알지만 일단 본격적으로 테스트해보지 못했고, gemini의 경우 대수나 텍스트 기반은 잘 풀지만 도형 및 기하 등 그림에 대한 이해는 아직 완전하지 못한 것 같았다. 이런 점에서 가장 무난하면서도 과외의 필요성이 높은 영어를 먼저 활용해보면 좋을 것 같았다.
2) 영어든 한국어든 언어는
- 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기, 듣기가 모두 필요하다.
- 듣기, 말하기보다 일기, 쓰기가 생성형 AI에 적용하기 용이할 것 같다.
- 읽기는 단어암기 > 숙어 및 짧은 표현들 > 긴 표현들 및 복잡한 문장들 > 긴 호흡의 문단 및 단편 글 > 장편 글의 단계로 심화 학습할 수 있겠다. 다만, 이는 일반 학원에서도 충분히 가능할 것으로 보인다.
- 쓰기는 첨삭이 매우 중요하고, 적절한 피드백을 통해 정답이 없는 상황에서 최적해를 구해야 한다는 점에서 생성형 AI와 잘 어울릴 것 같다.
- 언어를 통해 단순히 사용법을 익히는 것을 넘어, 언어로 구조화된 지식을 처리하고 논리를 전개하는 과정을 배우는 것이 주요 목표중 하나라 생각한다.
