너울을 쓴 혹성 波を被った惑星 Wavy planet by Seren Lee 2023 Oil and mixed-media on Canvas 50×50×1.5 cm

【Introduction】

바위와 모래를 뒤덮는 너울은 마치 아름다운 혹성을 널리 알리는 듯하다. 거친 질감의 토지 위에 생명과 재생을 의미하는 색이 넘실거린다. 지구를 감싼 채로 흐르고 또 흐르는 물결은 동맥과 정맥을 흐르는 피와 같다. 생명을 유지하기 위해 끊임없이 유영하는 바다는 삶 그 자체이다. 그러나 바다엔 그 누구도 발자국을 남길 수 없고, 쉴 새 없이 일렁이는 물결 또한 잡으려 해도 순식간에 손가락 사이로 빠져나간다. 바다는 그 누구의 소유도 아니며, 그 누구의 지배도 받지 않는다. 그런 바다에 희미한 동경을 품는다.

The waves that envelop the rocks and sand seem as if they must proclaim our beautiful planet far and wide. Colors symbolizing life and rebirth flow on the rugged-textured land. Like the blood flowing through arteries and veins, the waves that continue to flow, enveloping the Earth, are similar. The sea, which swims ceaselessly to sustain life, is life itself. However, no one can leave footprints in the sea, and even the ever-swaying waves slip through one's fingers in an instant, no matter how hard one tries to catch them. The sea belongs to no one, and it will never be subject to anyone's rule. In such a sea, faint aspirations arise.

岩や砂を包む波はまるで美しい我らの惑星を広く叫び知らせざるを得ないようだ。荒れた質感の土地の上に生命と再生を表す色がうねる。地球を包み込んでいるまま、流れ続ける波は動脈と静脈を行き来する血液と同様。生命を維持するために絶えず遊泳する海は人生そのものだ。しかし、海には誰も足跡を残すことができず、休む暇もなく揺れる波もまた捕まえようとしてもあっという間に指の間をすり抜ける。海は誰の所有でもなく、誰の支配も決して受けない。そんな海に己はかすかな憧れを抱いて生き続けているのだ。
