꽃이 피는 집
이세벽
A house where flowers bloom
I thought my body was the home where a beast lived
Why I wash myself day after day
the smell of sweat, the smell of oil, and the smell of manure
Even to my own nostrils
It wasn’t just because I felt ashamed
It was an earnest effort to erase the beast within myself
a desperate fight to remove its traces
But today, as I am standing naked and washing,
Saw the fluttering breeze blowing within me
A single flower stem quivers, making it sorrowful
Wrote it down with tears
But yesterday, as I am standing naked and washing my body,
Soundless rain
I saw it falling within me
A single flower petal, drenched and weeping within me
I comforted it with compassion
But tomorrow, as I am standing naked and washing my soul,
Warm sunshine
I saw it penetrating deep within me
A single flower seed drifted in
I embraced it with intense climax
Today, yesterday, tomorrow
Washing alone is not enough
Spraying a mist of perfume like a soft, pale smile,
applying makeup like a white, tender breast
knocking on the dark door,
I seduce you with the moonlight
I am not a beast's cage
A house where flowers bloom
