Less is more.

Today I experienced something really strange. I always thought that there was relationship between the amount of food I eat and my weight. So, I always tried to eat three times a day. Otherwise, I felt insecure, thinking I might lose weight or muscle. But the truth is the opposite. When you reduce both frequency and quantity of your meals, you realize that we actually don't need that much food. The excess food we eat just consumes our energy without providing any additional nutrition.



There are three lesson from this experience.


The first lesson is that the more you eat, the more your energy is consumed. Actually, we don't need as much food as we typically consume in a day. Most people think that the more they eat, the healthier they will be. But you should know that there's a limit to how much nutrients our bodies can absorb. So once you've eaten an appropriate, you should stop eating. Also it's not good to eat just because it's mealtime. If you' re not hungry, It's better not to eat. we need to respond carefully to our body's signals. To do that, it's important to reduce anything unnecessary for our bodies. you must not overeat because it wastes energy that could be used for more beneficial purposes in your life. It also causes inflammation in the body, which contributes to various chronic diseases.



The second lesson is that you don't need to eat as many carbs compared to the fats that our bodies actually need.

There are several reasons why we don't need as many carbs as we think. First, we evolved to use energy from ketones, which are produced when we consume fats. This is the type of energy that our brain and our muscles prefer. when we produce energy from ketones , less reactive oxygen is generated compared to when energy is produced from glucose, which comes from carbs.


Also, since carbs are cheaper compared to proteins and fats. Companies in food industry use carbs as an main ingredient. So, If you go to the market, you'll realize that the majority of foods are made from carbs. It's also tasty because it contains a lot of surgar. You should know that one slice of white bread increases insulin levels more than two spoonfuls of sugar. Even whole-grain bread has a similar effect. When I first heard this, I was shocked. because I thought whole grain wheat bread was healthier than other types of bread. Since carbohydrates and sugar raise blood sugar levels similarly, it's really important to limit carbs in your diet.


Even in this situation, Some people think that carbs are as essential as protein and fat. However, it would be more accurate to consider them as minor nutrients that we should consume in moderation



Most food-related research is conducted by companies in the food industry that have influence over government policies. These studies are easily distorted to reflect perspectives that benefit the companies.

The people who read these studies often misunderstand the role of carbs and don't develop a critical mindset towards them.

Since cab are delicious, people don't feel the need to study the facts and underlying principles about them.
