찌질해본 사람을 위해

찌질이로 살아본 사람은 안다.

이 노래 주인공의 마음을

늘 자신감 없고,

다른이와 어울리지 못하고,

겉도는 듯한 모습을 스스로 느껴가는 그 마음.

자신을 뭐라 표현할 길이 없었는데,

정확히 그런 모습을 표현하는 단어가 있었으니 ‘creep’

아직도 가끔씩 내 안의 creep이 고개를 든다.

아마도 이 노래로 멋지게 오프닝을 했던

영화 가디언즈 오브 갤럭시의 ‘로켓’도

결국 멋진 모습으로 변화 한 듯하지만

때때로 떠오르는 과거의 기억과 아픔들에 힘들어할 거다.

아무리 잘 나가도

언젠가의 찌질이가 숨어 있는 사람은 안전하다.

감사할 이유가 분명히 살아 숨 쉬니까.
