전략은 사람이고, 주도권 게임

[책 후기] THIS IS STRATEGY 세스고딘

고딘이다. 삽질을 덜 하고 싶은데, 그게 전략이라면 배우겠다.

마케팅 구루라, 그렇게 글도 쓴다.

사실 우리 인생이 전략과 프로젝트의 연속이다. 하지만 우선 일에 한정을 두고 읽었다.

방향이 잘못되면 아무리 세게 날려도 파울이다.


기적을 바라면 안된다, 관련된 사람들이 그렇게 만들도록 환경을 조성하는게 먼저이다. 내가 다 할 수 있다는 거대한 착각은 금물이다. 이러다 많이 좌절하지 않았는가.


프로젝트를 하나의 게임으로 부르는 것부터 시작. '이 판은 어떤 판인가' 시스템을 먼저 보려는 의도적 습관, 시작하기 전에 이걸 파악하고 들어갈지 아닐지를 결정해야 한다.


You are leading, not following. 전략을 가지고 판에 들어가면 끌려가지 않고, 이끌게 된다. 이게 정말 중요하다, 왜 공부해야 하는지이다… strategy is the partner of freedom인 이유다.


If we choose.. 빈둥거리는 것도 결국 내가 선택한 것이다.


피드백 룹을 보는게 시스템을 보는거다, 변화가 어떻게 돌아서 어떻게 다시 돌아오는지를 봐야 한다. If you see a feedback loop, you're seeing a system at work.


최대한 쉽게 하자, 어렵게 설명하고, 선택하게 하지 말자. 그들의 선택을 쉽게 만들면 된다.

선택과 집중이다, 이런 사람들까지 다 들어주다간 못 간다. 하지만 존중으로 대하는 것. 진짜는 꾸준히 포기하지않고 엘레강스를 가지고 하는 거다. 그러니까 포기하지 말자.

Skeptics. they are looking for an easy way to keep things the same. They're uncomfortable with the tension that change brings, and will conceal that feat with objections that seem like thoughtful feedback


오피스플랑크톤, 생각보다 많다.

Office plankton - low level workers who simply follow instructions. It's a perfect image, and more widespread than ever. Many CEOs are office plankton as well, floating along and simply following the crowd.

Don't allow anybody to make you feel that you are nobody. Always feel that you count.. Always feel that you have worth, and always feel that your life has ultimate significance..

Calling the project a game gives us a chance to depersonalize our work, to be more flexible in our approach, and most of all just to talk about it.

The outcome of a game often has little to do with how much you want to win

Strategy is the hard work of choosing what to do today to improve our tomorrow.

Are we able to become whoever we will be if the strategy succeeds? ...it's tempting to daydream about the future, but we're not sure we're ready to live there. 그게 되었을때?그 다음은 어떨건데

Had guts to go first and make assertions about what was next in text.

Was coordinator - by curating the topics to be discussed and laying out a point of view, gave the tech industry an agenda

To whine instead of lead… 삶에서 주도성을 갖는다는 것

Change requires tension, scarcity and forward motion...Create tension. the tension of being left out or left behind...tension is real if we are consistent 텐션.

We need to talk about our strategy, we need to write it down.

True - Assertions - Alternatives - People - Money - Time 피칭할때 흐름, 현실주장,대안,사람,돈,시간

What matters is customer traction, not everyone.. Someone. 다 만족못시킨다 어차피

If you care about the work to be done, it's worth verbalizing and testing your strategy.

A branding isn't a logo. It's an invitation and a promise, an expectation who someone can become, and what the journey will be like. 나중에 써먹어야지.

Critical connections are more important than critical mass.

Useful advice accepts that time will do its work. The creator knows that. The real question is: how do we make the spec better. We're asking 'for the kind of person we seek to serve, gives that time will improve many of the elements you see, what's missing? 시간이라는 축, 우리는 너무 쉽게 잊는다

As systems become more complex, the delays magnify the complexity.

There's a different between a good decision and a good outcome
