존재하려는 의지
ARTIST STATEMENT
예술은 단순히 형식이나 표현의 집합체가 아니다.
그것은 인간 내면의 끊임없는 존재하려는 의지의
결과이다.
나는 예술은 발견의 연속으로 본다.
그 속에서 우리는 고정된 형태나 명확한 답을 찾기보다는, 끊임없이 변화하는 질문에 대답하려는 존재로서나아가려는 의지 속에서 진정한 책임을 깨닫는다.
많은 예술가들이 보이지 않는 틀을 감지하며 내면세계를 넓혀왔고, 나 또한 인간의 본질을 포착하고 그것을 시각적으로 새롭게 정의하는 과정을 겪고 있다.
최근 작업은 인간의 자유의지, 선택, 그리고 그 한계와 가능성에 집중하고 있다. 제약적 자유와 무제한의
자유 사이에서 진정한 자유의 의미를 탐구하며,
그 과정에서 자아를 넘어서려는 탐구가 이어졌다.
사랑은 자기애에서 시작되어, 결국 나의 타인으로
향하며, 결국 나를 지우고 타인을 사랑하는 방향으로 흐른다. 이 사랑이 인간 존재의 목적에 미치는 영향에 대해 생각하고 있다.
나의 작업은 개인의 자유의지를 통해 자아를 넘어서는가능성과 삶의 목적의 변화를 시각적으로 표현하는 데중점을 두고 있다.
예술은 단순히 보거나 보이는 것이 아니라,
보이지 않는 것들을 실체화하는 행위이다.
그것은 새로운 정의와 변화를 일으키며, 고정된 현실을 해체하고, 세상에 새로운 시각과 가능성을 여는
힘을 지닌다.

Art x Shift
Art is not merely a collection of forms or
expressions. It is the result of the continuous
will to exist within the human inner world.
I view art as a continuous process of discovery. In this process, we do not seek fixed forms or
clear answers; rather, as beings responding to constantly changing questions, we realize true
responsibility through the will to move forward.
Many artists have sensed invisible boundaries
and expanded their inner worlds, and I too am
undergoing a process of capturing and
redefining the essence of humanity.
My recent work focuses on human free will,
choices, and their limits and possibilities.
I explore the meaning of true freedom,
oscillating between constrained freedom and
unlimited freedom. In this process, my
exploration of transcending the self has
continued. Love begins with self-love and
gradually shifts towards others, ultimately
flowing into a love that erases the self in order
to love others. I reflect on how this love
influences the purpose of human existence.
This work centers on visually expressing the
possibility of transcending the self through
free will and the changes in the purpose of life.
Art is not merely about seeing or being seen
it is the act of materializing the invisible.
It creates new definitions, instigates change,
dismantles fixed realities, and holds the power
to open new perspectives and possibilities for
the world.

저희는 미술작가 부부로, 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고 작품의 창작 과정과 작가의 삶을 함께 나눌 수 있는 공간을 만들고자 했습니다. 작업실, 전시 공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 아트쉬프트는 예술가의 창작의 시작과 끝, 그 안에 담긴 고민과 서사를 자연스럽게 보여주며, 예술과 삶이 일상 속에서 어우러지는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
