예술이 가는 길

거울에 비친 이미지는 단지 이미지일 뿐, 그것이 현실 그 자체는 아니다. 그것이 현실의 일면을 반영할 수는 있지만, 진실을 완전히 담아내지는 못한다.
마찬가지로, 예술가들은 현실에서 영감을 얻어
자신이라는 통로를 통해 투영하거나 반사하며,
때로는 흡수하여 세상에 다시 내놓는다.
이러한 과정은 새로운 창조의 여정을 의미하지만,
때로는 현실을 단순히 반영하는 수준에 머무르기도
한다.
예술작품은 작가의 철학과 물질이 결합해 탄생한다. 이 작품이 현실을 반영하는 이미지로 남을지,
아니면 새로운 세계로 나아가는 문이 될지는 창작의 깊이와 방향에 따라 달라진다.
흥미로운 점은, 그 문을 열고 나아간 뒤에도, 그 공간이결국 다시금 현실로 재정의된다는 점이다.
많은 이들이 예술을 심적 평화나 위안을 제공하는
역할로만 여기는 경향이 있지만, 예술은 그보다 훨씬 더 많은 가능성을 지니고 있다. 단지 현실을 반영하거나 분석하는 데 그친다면, 본연의 잠재력을 충분히
발휘하지 못하는 것이다.
시대를 기록하는 예술은 그 자체로 의미가 있지만,
이를 넘어설 때 비로소 창조적 도약으로 이어진다.
예술은 새로운 가능성과 방향을 제시할 때 진정한
가치를 발휘한다.
미래를 향한 예술은 단순히 시대를 묘사하거나 현실을탐구하는 데 머물지 않는다. 그것은 우리로 하여금
상상하지 못했던 가능성을 꿈꾸게 하고, 기존의 틀을 넘어서 새로운 관점을 열어준다. 이러한 비전은
단순한 반영을 넘어, 예술의 본질과 목표를 드러낸다.
결국, 예술이 가야 할 길은 분명하다.
현실이라는 거울을 넘어, 우리를 완전히 새로운
가능성의 문턱으로 이끄는 것이다.

Art x Shift
The image reflected in a mirror is merely an
image; it is not reality itself. While it can capture a facet of reality, it can never fully contain the
truth.
Similarly, artists draw inspiration from reality
and channel it through themselves to project,
reflect, or sometimes absorb and release it
back into the world.
This process signifies a journey of new
creation, yet it can sometimes remain at the
level of merely reflecting reality.
A work of art is born from the fusion of the
artist’s philosophy and material. Whether it
remains an image that reflects reality or
becomes a gateway to a new world depends
on the depth and direction of the creative
process. Interestingly, even after stepping
through that gateway, the new space ultimatelybecomes redefined as reality.
Many view art primarily as a medium for
providing emotional peace or comfort, but art
holds far greater potential than that. If it stops
at simply reflecting or analyzing reality, it fails to fully realize its inherent potential. While art that
records its time is meaningful in itself, it is only
by going beyond this that it becomes a true
leap of creation. Art achieves its true value
when it presents new possibilities and
directions.
Art that looks toward the future does not
merely describe the times or explore the issuesof reality. Instead, it invites us to dream of
unimagined possibilities, breaking existing
boundaries and opening up new perspectives. This vision transcends mere reflection and
reveals the essence and purpose of art.
Ultimately, the path art must take is clear:
to move beyond the mirror of reality and lead
us to the threshold of entirely new possibilities.
