여전히 나
SALVATION
인간은 사랑을 자연스러운 감정으로 여기지만, 실상 그것은 자신의 선과 양심에서 비롯된 경우가 많다.
우리가 타인을 사랑한다고 생각하지만, 그 중심에는 여전히 ‘나’라는 존재가 자리하고 있다. 자기애가 우선되는 한, 진정으로 타인을 사랑할 수 없다. 이기심이
개입된 사랑은 제한적이며, 자아를 초월하지 못한다.
그러나 우리는 스스로의 노력만으로 자아나 이기심을 제거할 수 없다. 먼저, 인간이 본질적으로 이기적인
존재임을 인정해야 하며, 이 문제를 우리 스스로 해결할 수 없다는 사실을 깨달아야 한다.
그때 비로소 희생적인 진정한 사랑을 받을 준비가
된다. 그 사랑이 내 안에 자리 잡으면, 이기심은 감사와 감동으로 자연스럽게 사라지고 자아는 초월된다.
그때 우리는 타인을 온전히 사랑할 수 있는 사람이
된다.
그리고 마침내, 우리 또한 희생적인 사랑을 실천할 수 있는 능력을 얻게 된다. 이기심이 빠진 진정한 사랑은 자아를 내려놓고, 타인을 향한 조건 없는 희생으로
존재한다. 그것은 단순한 호감의 교환이 아니라,
진정한 사랑의 형태이다.
이 사랑은 우리를 자아의 한계를 넘어설 수 있게 하며, 타인을 온전히 사랑할 수 있는 능력을 부여한다.
그리고 이 사랑이야말로 인간의 진정한 구원이다.

Humans perceive love as a natural emotion, but in reality, it often stems from their own sense of goodness and conscience. We may believe
that our love is directed toward others, but at its
core, the self still remains central. As long as self-love takes precedence, we cannot truly love
others. Love that is tainted by selfishness is limited and unable to transcend the self.
However, we cannot remove our ego or
selfishness through our own efforts. First, we
must acknowledge that human nature is inherently self-centered and recognize that we are incapable of solving this problem on our own.
Only then are we prepared to receive sacrificial, genuine love. When this love takes root within us, selfishness naturally fades away, replaced
by gratitude and awe, and the self is transcended. At that point, we become capable of truly
loving others.
And finally, we gain the ability to practice
sacrificial love ourselves. True love, free from
selfishness, exists as unconditional sacrifice for others, rather than a mere exchange of mutual affection.
This love enables us to go beyond the limitations of the self and grants us the ability to love
others fully. And this love is the true salvation ofhumanity.
