당신은 선하지 않다

제발 선함에 빠지지 말자.
제발 선과 악을 나누지 말자.
제발 나를 선하다고 착각하지 말자.
나는 결코 선하지 않다.
인간이 판단하는 선과 악의 기준은 모두 자기 자신이다. 세상에는 82억 개의 기준이 있다. 내 기준을 세상이 인정하지 않는다고 화낼 필요가 있을까?
인간은 자신을 기준 삼는 한계를 벗어날 수 없다.
나 자신이 결코 선하지 않다는 사실을, 더 나아가
내가 선할 수 없는 존재임을 깨닫지 못한다면
우리는 결국 이기심에 사로잡혀 살아갈 뿐이다.
이기심은 인간의 본질이다.
이기심으로는 선과 악을 구분할 수 없다. 그리고
우리가 인간으로 존재하는 한 이 본질에서 벗어날 수 없다.
내가 기준이 아님을 받아들이지 않는다면,
내가 넘어야 할 허들은 세상 전체가 된다.
세상은 내 기준과 어긋날 수밖에 없고,
다른 사람의 생각과 이념은 나와 다를 수밖에 없다.
결국 세상은 나와 싸워야 할 적이 될 뿐이다.
기독교인이 아니더라도 ‘선악과’라는 단어를
들어본 적이 있을 것이다. 선악과의 위험성은
나 자신이라는 기준을 벗어나지 못하게 할 만큼
강력하다.
즉 당신이 스스로 옳고 선하다고 믿는 순간,
그 믿음은 악으로 변할 수 있다.
기독교에선 인간의 이 본성을 스스로 죽일 수 없기에 예수님이 대신 돌아가신다. 이것을 믿는 것이 구원이다.
그러나 나는 나를 가장 사랑하기에,
나는 본질적으로 이기적이기에,
내가 악하다는 사실을 깨닫는 순간,
비로소 세상에 진정 필요한 것은
내가 믿는 ‘선’이 아니라
진정한 ‘사랑’ 임을 알게 된다.

Do not fall into the illusion of goodness.
Do not divide the world into good and evil.
Do not mistake yourself for being good.
I am never good.
The standard of good and evil that humans
judge is always based on themselves.
There are 8.2 billion standards in the world.
Is it worth getting upset that the world doesn't
recognize your standard?
Humans can never escape the limits of being
their own standard. Unless I realize that I am
never truly good, or that I am a being that can
never be good, we will only live trapped in
selfishness.
Selfishness is the essence of being human.
With selfishness, we cannot distinguish between good and evil. And as long as we exist,
we cannot escape this essence.
If I do not accept that I am not the standard,
then the hurdles I must overcome will be the
entire world. The world will inevitably conflict
with my standard, and other people's thoughts and ideologies will inevitably differ from mine.
In the end, the world will become my enemy,
one I must fight.
Even if you are not a Christian, you may have
heard of the term 'Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil.'The danger of the Tree of Knowledge
is powerful enough to prevent us from steppingoutside the standard of ourselves.
In Christianity, since humans cannot kill this nature on their own, Jesus, who created us and loves us, dies in our place.
Believing this is salvation.
The moment you eat the fruit of the Tree of
Knowledge, that is, when you believe you are
right and good, that belief can turn into evil.
However, because I love myself the most,
because I am inherently selfish, when I realize
that I am evil, I finally understand that what the world truly needs is not the 'good' I believe in,
but true 'love.'
