Day 91 신명기 18,19

“예언자가 주의 이름으로 선포한 것이 그대로 일어나거나 이루어지지 않으면 그것은 주의 말씀이 아니다. 그 예언자가 주제넘게 말한 것이니 그런 예언자는 두려워할 것 없다.”

1. 예언자가 아닌 사람들도 자신이 한 이야기가 이루어지기도 한다. 그렇다면 예언자인지 아닌지를 판단할 수 있는 또 다른 기준은 무엇일까? 그 사람에게 어떤 질문을 던질 수 있을까?

Even non-prophets sometimes see their words come true. Then what other criteria can we use to discern whether someone is truly a prophet or not? What kind of questions can we ask that person?”

2. 왜 3 군데를 정하라 하셨을까? 실수로 잘못늘 저질로 사람을 죽이게 한 사람에게. 이는 이스라엘을 떠난 곳일까? 사람이 날파리나 모기를 실수로 내지는 귀찮나 죽이게 된다면 이 생명을 죽인 죄는 어떻게 사할 수 있을까?

Why did God command them to appoint three cities of refuge—for someone who kills another person by accident? Were these places outside of Israel? And if a person kills a small creature like a fly or a mosquito by accident, or simply out of annoyance, how can the guilt of taking that life be atoned for?
