Worn But Blessed
The city lights blur, as the twilight descends,
I’m counting the miles, where the day’s journey ends,
The world is a canvas, with colors that fade,
As shadows grow long, and the night serenades.
In the hum of the streets, where my weary heart sighs,
Under these vast skies, I find a moment to realize,
Grateful for my health, for the strength in my bones,
For the work that sustains and the friends I’ve known.
Oh, the stars are my beacons, guiding me home,
In the midst of fatigue, their light softly shone,
I’m grateful for labor, for food and for cheer,
For the life that I live and the peace drawing near.
Life’s rhythm plays like a melody fine,
In the weight of the day, where my worries unwind,
The golden sunset paints hope in the sky,
As I breathe in freedom with each gentle sigh.
In the clamor of dusk, where exhaustion’s revealed,
I find beauty in effort, where my heart is healed,
Thankful for the health and the wealth I can share,
For the friends that I cherish and the dreams that I dare.
Oh, the stars are my beacons, guiding me home,
In the midst of fatigue, their light softly shone,
I’m grateful for labor, for food and for cheer,
For the life that I live and the peace drawing near.
With each step I take, through the weariness clear,
In the echoes of striving, joy reappears,
For the health that sustains me and the wealth I can give,
There’s a blessing in striving, in the life that I live.
Oh, the stars are my beacons, guiding me home,
In the midst of fatigue, their light softly shone,
I’m grateful for labor, for food and for cheer,
For the life that I live and the peace drawing near.
So here’s to the twilight where the stars gently gleam,
To the journey we travel and the dreams that we dream,
In the quiet of night, where the world softly sighs,
I’m grateful for living beneath these vast skies.
