Western societies, including the U.S., had much times and geographical advantages to fully respond to the coronavirus. As Korea was the first country to see the number of confirmed cases soar after China, the West, though belated, had enough social system and economic power to prepare for health and security. However, Western society only put forward Asian hatred, and socially, it was not prepared at all to deal with it. In the end, Italy and Iran, following South Korea, became countries with a sharp increase in confirmed cases, and the virus that entered Italy devastated Europe.

Even when the United States saw Europe entering a proliferation phase, it took no action. President Donald Trump only said positive things, but the measures did not follow, and the U.S. people responded as if they were nothing. Despite, the fact that the entire U.S. is surrounded by coronavirus, it did not follow various social requirements as well as not wearing a mask. On the contrary, the United States needed rather the federal government to strongly recommend and guide it. But the Trump administration has been too complacent, and as a result, the United States now has the largest number of confirmed and dead.

The U.S. should have joined, even when it saw European countries embark on a massive lockdown with border containment and minimal social movement. Although there was a need to make sure of each week's vigilance and strictly diagnose it, the U.S. federal government was still complacent, and while German Chancellor Angela Merkel stressed that it was a serious situation, President Trump said wearing a mask was not indispensable. In the meantime, the virus has previously begun to spread to the United States, starting with the first confirmed case in Seattle, the epidemic has spread rapidly to the States, and soon the first fatalities have occurred. Since then, the White House has been over-reacting positive messages, with each state's own major lockdown attempts but unable to control the coronavirus that has already spread.

Since then, Western society has been keeping an eye on Korea while it is responding quickly by preemptively implementing tracking, testing and treatment accurately. The leaders of each country have been scrambling to hold telephone and video talks with their Korean counterparts, which have led them to learn about Korea's know-how, technical skills and further social application. However, President Trump has relatively disparaged South Korea's preemptive measures and subsequent code of conduct, even though it would have been easier to access because it was an alliance with Korea, and reiterated that the U.S. would first overcome the virus first. What's more surprising is that the announced official events were carried out steadily without canceling, and no action has been taken to lower the risk of many countries implementing, starting with Korea, including social distances.

Nevertheless, President Trump stressed that the United States is still a safe place. Looking at the situation in the United States, Florida and California followed with the largest number of confirmed cases in New York and New Jersey. Then, confirmed cases soared in Texas and other big states. But as May and June have passed, the virus has steadily increased in California, while the epidemic, which had risen in the northeastern part of the U.S., has eased due to massive locking. In addition, in the initial U.S. diffusion period, we could see a bias in the northeast and Florida, but now there are the largest number of confirmed cases in California, as well as evenly confirmed cases in the entire U.S. Considering the fact that the continental United States is still large and there are 50 countries, it was initially necessary to close the interstate border extensively. In other words, the European Union, even though it is not a country, is a loose federal arrangement, so the state has come forward and solved it. On the other hand, the U.S. is a strong federal system, and the federal government's complacent attitude has only made the issue worse.

Looking at the global trend, one can see how shameless the U.S. government has been. Even considering that it is anti-Republican or pro-Democratic tendency that the video itself cited was produced, the contents presented in the clip are not different from the facts. Despite facing such a serious situation, the president pushed ahead with the Independence Day event without any restrictions and did not wear a mask. In addition, President Trump said he ignored hospital recommendations and pushed ahead with his early discharge, saying it was God's blessing to be infected with the coronavirus, which would make the U.S. stronger. Given that a country's president has said this, it is highly likely that his supporters are thinking similarly, and furthermore, it is clear how American society is looking at COVID-19. It's very clear regardless of the political pro-Trump and anti-Trump, it is well illustrated how the U.S. society looked at and dealt with pandemics.

In other words, recognizing amid of coronavirus pandemic is not necessarily an intellectual act, however, on the contrary, we can get a glimpse of the American people's attitude toward it. Just as Korea has elected a very good president before, it can be seen that the country's leader is not wrong to say that he represents the people's level. Because, for example, I hate China, but the presidential candidate has similar ideas with me. Then, someone will look favorably upon it with a sense of sympathy, and of course somebody will become his supporter and vote. It is only an example, and a vote for President Trump does not mean that it is anti-intellectualism, but it clearly shows what choice the American society has made. Korea also teaches the events caused by the previous administration so clearly that it feels no different.

The similar is true of Europe, not of the United States. We had a very distinct view of how Western society treated this pandemics, and how it looked socially, not simply at the national level. As Americans, British people, and English speakers are not unconditionally good, and they feel no longer profitable in their designed free trade, they have elected leaders with a right-leaning view and are focusing on creating national interests again. Of course, many internal factors and social reasons can't be eagerly generalized, but it is clear whether Western Europe and Anglo-America, the so-called "leadership of the international community," have embarked on massive quarantine and code reinforcement over the outbreak of the virus, or whether they have fostered hatred through racism. The West is no longer unconditionally right, and Korea is now at least the safest country in the global community in terms of the spread of coronavirus, just as it is the world's best in certain areas.
