봄

오늘 한낮에는 눈이 펑펑 쏟아졌다. 저녁 무렵 지는 해가 눈을 다 녹였다. 그 눈 녹인 물 한 방울 받아먹고 수선화 꽃망울 맺었다. 나무나 풀잎이나 꽃이나 하늘을 바라보며 늘 묵묵하다. 비가오나 눈이오나 바람불거나 고요하거나, 추우나 더우나 늘 덤덤하게 제 멋을 부린다.

나는 늘 변한다. 오늘처럼. 난 그게 또 좋다. 봄이다.

<Spring>

Snow fell thick at noon today. By evening, the sinking sun had melted it all away. From a single drop of that melted snow, a daffodil gathered its bud. Trees and grass, leaves and flowers— all look up to the sky in silence. Rain or snow, wind or stillness, cold or heat— they simply remain themselves.

But I am always changing. Like today. And I like that. Spring has come.
