다음세대 선교를 위한 외국어 번역 기도문 13
거룩한 예배자로서, 세상을 리드하는 우리 아이들이 되게 하소서
갈 길을 밝히 보이시는 사랑의 하나님
다음 세대와 우리 아이들이
어떤 직업을 선택해야 하는지
어떻게 살아가야 하는지
많은 고민과 갈등을 하곤 합니다.
주님, 우리 아이들이 좋은 학교를 진학하여
시대를 이끌어갈 사회 지도자가 되길 원합니다.
그러나 비록 어쩌다가 전망이 없다고 하는 직업을 갖더라도
승진 기회가 거의 없는 곳으로 갈지라도
황무지 같은 처음부터 시작해야 하는 곳으로 갈지라도
가운데가 아니라 가장자리로 갈지라도
남들이 모두 가기 꺼려 하는 곳으로 갈지라도
낙심하지 않고, 일할 수 있는 용기를 주옵소서.
비록 남들이 눈여겨보지 않는 직업일지라도
그곳이 어떤 곳이든
먼저 그의 나라와 의를 구하며
이웃을 사랑하고 복음을 전하게 하시고
따뜻한 온정을 나누며
예배자가 나의 직업이고, 하나님의 자녀가 나의 직업이라고
당당히 고백하는 아이들이 되게 하소서.
그리할 때에,
주님, 우리 아이들을 잊지 마옵시고
종살이하던 요셉을, 주님께서 크게 쓰시고자
정함이 있는 그때에
지혜로운 총리로 삼아 주신 것처럼
물고기잡이였던 베드로가
믿음으로 그물을 내려 순종할 때에
거룩한 사도로 세우셨던 것처럼
주님의 권능의 팔로 우리 아이들을
정하신 때에 크게 사용하여 주시옵고
많은 사람들을 진리의 길로
하나님 품으로 이끄는
거룩한 하나님의 일꾼이요
칭송받는 리더로 사용하여 주시옵소서.

May our children be holy worshippers who lead the world.
Heavenly Father,
You who light our path and guide our steps, we lift up our children and the next generation to You. They face many questions and struggles about the paths they should take and the lives they should lead. Lord, we pray that they may attend good schools and grow to become leaders who shape their generation.
Yet even if they are called to careers with little recognition, limited opportunity for promotion, or humble beginnings, grant them courage to serve faithfully without discouragement. Even if they find themselves on the edges, in places others avoid, give them the strength to persevere.
May they seek first Your kingdom and righteousness in every situation, love their neighbors, share the Gospel, and spread warmth and kindness wherever they go. Let them boldly declare that their vocation is worship, and that being Your children is their calling.
And Lord, just as You raised Joseph from a servant to a wise and powerful ruler in Your perfect timing, and Peter from a fisherman to a holy apostle through faith and obedience, may You also lift up our children at the appointed time. Use them mightily to lead many to the truth, guide people into Your embrace, and serve as faithful and praised servants of Your Kingdom.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.
