소유 대명사에 대해 지도해 보자. 소유 대명사를 이해시키기 위해서 우선 대명사 그리고 소유 형용사에 대한 개념을 복습한 후 지도해야 한다.

A: The possessive adjectives need a noun. They are followed by a noun. 소유 형용사는 명사가 필요하다. 명사가 소유 형용사 뒤를 따른다.

My book, your book, his book, her book, their books, our books. ‘my’는 한 손으로 나를 가리키고 ‘book’은 다른 한 손으로 손바닥이 하늘을 향하게 해 준다. ‘your’는 검지고 자신의 몸 반대쪽을 검지로 가리킨다. ‘his’는 왼손의 엄지로 왼쪽을 가리키고, ‘her’는 왼손의 검지로 오른쪽을 가리킨다. ‘their’는 두 손의 손등이 하늘을 향하게 한 후 손가락 끝들이 바깥쪽을 향해 뿌리듯이 바깥쪽으로 손가락들을 뻗어 준다.
