38. What are conjunctions? 접속사

접속사 개념을 지도하는 방법을 알아보자. 단어와 단어를 연결해주고 문장과 문장을 연결해주는 접속사의 역할을 예시문을 통해 구체적으로 이해할 수 있다.

And, but, because.... and so on; they are conjunctions. Conjunctions connect two words or two sentences. ‘and, but, because’ 등등을 접속사라 한다. 접속사는 두 단어나 두 문장을 연결해 준다.

‘And’ connects two equal words or two equal sentences. ‘and’는 두 개의 같은 단어나 같은 문장을 연결합니다.

I can swim and I can ride a bicycle. 나는 수영을 할 수 있고 자전거도 탈 수 있다.

‘But’ connects two opposite words or two opposite sentences. ‘but’는 두 개의 반대되는 단어나 두 개의 반대되는 문장을 연결한다.

She can cook, but she can`t sew. 그녀는 요리를 할 수 있다. 그러나 그녀는 바느질은 할 수 없다.

결국, 접속사라는 개념을 이해하고 예시문까지 영어로 다음과 같이 말할 수 있어야 한다. 말할 수 있는 지식 즉 설명할 수 지식만이 제대로 배운 것이다.
