57. Present tense는 언제 쓸까?

영어의 시제 중 항상 현재를 쓰는 경우가 있다. 현재 시제의 개념을 현재 진행형 시제의 특징과 비교하며 익혀보자.

Verb is an action word. 동사는 활동을 나타낸다. Verb can tell the time: present tense-Past tense-future tense. 동사는 시간을 말할 수 있다. 현재 시제- 과거 시제- 미래 시제

Present tense shows habit or statement. 현재시제는 습관이나 상태를 보여 준다.

He drinks tea every morning. It shows habit. 그는 매일 아침 차를 마신다. 이는 습관을 보여 준다.

I study English. I live in Busan. It shows statement. 나는 영어를 공부한다. 나는 부산에 산다. 이는 상태를 보여 준다.

Present progressive shows an action that is happening now. 현재 진행형은 현재 발생되는 현재의 활동을 보여준다.

To make a present progressive, we need “be-verb” and “verb-ing”. 현재 진행형을 만들기 위해서는, ‘be 동사’와 동사에 ‘~ing‘를 붙인다.

I am eating. You are eating. He is eating. She is eating.

They are eating. We are eating.

결국, 현재 시제의 특징을 이해한다면 다음과 같이 영어로 말할 수 있어야 한다. 현재 시제와 더불어 현재 진행의 특징도 함께 이해할 수 있다.
