그러므로 나는, 이제 여러분이 이렇게 살기를 바랍니다. 하나님이 여러분을 도우실 것입니다. 여러분의 매일의 삶, 일상의 삶-자고 먹고 일하고 노는 모든 삶-을 하나님께 헌물로 드리십시오.
So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life-your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life-and place it before God as an offering.
하나님께서 여러분을 위해 하시는 일을 받아들이는 것이, 바로 여러분이 그분을 위해 할 수 있는 최선의 일입니다.
Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.
문화에 너무 잘 순응하여 아무 생각 없이 동화되어 버리는 일이 없도록 하십시오.
Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.
대신에, 여러분은 하나님께 시선을 고정하십시오. 그러면 속에서부터 변화가 일어날 것입니다.
Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out.
그분께서 여러분에게 바라시는 것을 흔쾌히 인정하고, 조금도 머뭇거리지 말고 거기에 응하십시오.
Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.
여러분을 둘러싸고 있는 문화는 늘 여러분을 미숙한 수준으로 끌어 낮추려 하지만, 하나님께서는 언제나 여러분에게서 최선의 것을 이끌어 내시고 여러분 안에 멋진 성숙을 길러 주십니다.
Unlike the culutre around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

하나님께서 주신 것들에 대한 깊은 감사의 마음으로, 여러분에 대해 특별한 사명을 받은 사람으로서 말씀드립니다.
I'm speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you.
여러분은 순전히 은혜 가운데 살고 있습니다. 여러분이 마치 하나님께 뭔가 좋은 것을 해드리고 있는 것처럼 착각하지 마십시오.
Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it's important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God.
그렇지 않습니다. 실은, 하나님께서 여러분에게 온갖 좋은 것을 가져다주고 계신 것입니다.
No, God brings it all to you.
우리가 우리 자신을 바르게 알게 되는 것은, 오직 하나님과 또한 그분이 우리를 위해 하고 계신 일에 주목할 때이지, 우리 자신과 또한 우리가 그분을 위해 하는 일에 주목할 때가 아닙니다.
The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.
4-6a
우리 각자는 사람 몸의 다양한 부분과 같습니다. 각 부분은 전체 몸에게서 의미를 얻습니다. 그 반대는 아닙니다.
In the way we are like the various parts of a human body. Each part gets its meaning from the body as a whole, not the other way around.
지금 우리가 말하는 몸은, 택함 받은 사람들로 이루어진 그리스도의 몸을 말합니다.
The body we're talking about is Christ's body of chosen people.
우리 각자의 의미와 기능은, 우리가 그분 몸의 한 부분으로서 갖는 의미와 기능입니다.
Each of us finds our meaning and function as a part of his body.
잘려 나간 손가락, 잘려 나간 발가락이라면 무슨 대단한 의미가 있겠습니까?
But as a chopped-off finger or cut-off toe we wouldn't amount to much, would we?
우리는 그리스도의 몸 안에서, 빼어난 모양과 탁월한 기능을 부여받은 부분 부분들로 지음 받았습니다. 그러므로 우리는 지음 받은 본연의 모습대로 살아가야 합니다. 시기심이나 교만한 마음을 품고서 다른 사람들과 자신을 비교해서는 안됩니다. 자기가 아닌 다른 무엇이 되려고 애쓰지 마십시오.
So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ's body, let's just go ahead and be what we were made to be, whthout enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren't.

설교하는 일이라면, 하나님의 메시지만을 전하고 그와 상관없는 내용을 전하지 마십시오.
If you preach, just preach God's message, nothing else;
돕는 일이라면, 도와주기만 하지 월권하지 마십시오
if you help, just help, don't take over;
가르치는 일을 한다면, 여러분이 가르치는 바를 고수하십시오.
if you teach, stick to your teaching;
격려하고 안내하는 일이라면, 으스대지 않도록 조심하십시오.
if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don't get bossy;
책임자 위치에 있다면, 멋대로 권력을 휘두르지 마십시오.
if you're put in charge, don't manipulate;
곤란에 빠진 사람들을 원조하는 일에 부름 받았다면, 늘 눈을 크게 뜨고 잘 살펴 신속하게 움직이도록 하십시오.
if you're called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond;
불우한 사람들과 더불이 일하는 사람이라면, 그들 때문에 화를 내거나 우울해지지 않도록 하십시오. 늘 얼굴에 미소를 띠고 일하십시오.
if you work with the disadvantaged, don't let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.
