2019년 3월 봄 방학 - reykjavik (1)
미국에서는 12월에 가을학기를 마치고 1월에 봄학기가 시작하기 때문에 겨울방학이 짧은 대신 3월에 1주일간의 봄방학이 주어진다. 봄방학만큼은 무조건 어딘가로 떠나야겠다고 생각했다. 당시 파업 직전이었던 와우 항공에서 왕복 200불이라는 티켓을 내놓았기 때문에 아이슬란드를 선택했다. 1주일의 방학과 할인된 비행기 티켓으로 덜컥 결정지은 아이슬란드 여행. 가끔은 인생에서 선물같은 시간이 허무하게 느껴질 정도로 과분하게 주어지는 것 같다.
5시간의 비행 끝에 도착한 레이캬비크 공항에서 아이슬란드 공기를 마시며 본능적으로 느꼈다. 이 나라와 지금 이 순간을 무조건적으로 좋아하고 그리워할 것이라고.
I took this picture in the background which I named 'Life'. In May 2020, I traveled to Iceland with my mother who came across to Boston to attend my commencement ceremony. On the road, we had seen a harass of Icelandic horses running beside our bus. We're fond of watching their beautiful wild movement. I remember my mother called the one with blonde hair 'Elsa'.
