What was the most interesting class you had ever taken throughout your life?
1. 내가 쓴 글
The Geography class of high school was the most interesting class I had ever taken throughout my life. The teacher was a newcomer who graduated from the Seoul National University just that year. Teaching at our school was his first job just after graduation of the university. We were just the first year of high school. When he entered our class, he was very red in his face. He looked very nervous. We laughed so much whenever he said something. He might be scared to say any words in front of us. And we enjoyed it a lot. However, he taught so well. Geography was a very boaring class, but he made it very interesting. We laughed a lot and we memorized the contents of that book easily. It was owing to his own special teaching method. Let me introduce one of them. He made very special words with the initial letters of contents which we had to memorize but very difficult to memory. We could memory many contents with the special words which he made for us with only initial letters of them. How smart he was. How mischievous we were. haha.

Notes:
1. We do not shift from one tense to another if the time frame for each action or state is the same. We do not want to have one time period being described in two different tenses. For example:
Yesterday we walk to school but later rode the bus home. (NOT CORRECT)
Yesterday we walked to school but later rode the bus home. (CORRECT)
넵! 시제 신경쓰게씀돠~
2. When and, but, and so (coordinating conjunctions) are at the middle of two independent clauses, we usually add a comma BEFORE it.
and, but, so 로 연결되는 문장 앞에는 반드시 콤마를! 넵!
3. That - limits the meaning of the word it modifies and is important to get the meaning of the sentence. Since it contains important information, it is not set off with commas:
I like the bag that my father gave me.
The office that has two conference rooms is closed today.
오호 바로 요거. that은 아주 중요한 정보. 그래서 절대 생략할 수 없는 내용. 콤마 쓰지 않는다.
Which - When the clause contains unimportant or additional information, it can be set off with commas. If you remove a clause with which from a sentence, the meaning does not change significantly.
(CORRECT) There was an earthquake in Japan, which is bad news.
Let us try removing the “which” clause:
(STILL CORRECT) There was an earthquake in Japan.
which는 부가적인 설명. 있어도 그만 없어도 그만인 문장. 없애도 문장 내용에는 큰 지장이 없다. 항상 콤마와 함께 쓴다.
