in the world for a month...
If you could visit any place in the world for a month, where would you go and why?
I will go Thailand because I want to practice the Thai language which I have been studying nowadays. Let me tell you why I am studying it now as follows: I majored in Thai when I was in University, but I couldn't tell it anybody. Why? It is because I can't tell even one word in Thai. How embarrassed I am when I talk nothing in Thai, my major. So I have decided to study Thai again after about 40 years from my graduation from University. The reason why I can't tell any words in Thai is that I can't have had any opportunity to speak in Thai. I got a job in English and at the office, I used English only not Thai. Recently we visited Thailand for touring and playing golf. It's embarrassing to tell nothing in Thai, even though it's my major. Suddenly a thought struck me! "Yes. Do it again. Let's study Thai!" But I hesitated because of this kind of thinking "Is it possible? Am I too old to study it again?". My friend said to me "NTL! NNQ! Never Too Late! Never Never Quit". Yes! I will do it! I can do it!

I will go (to) Thailand because I want to practice the Thai language(,) which I have been (am) studying nowadays. Let me tell you why I am studying it now as follows: (now.)
I majored in Thai when I was in University, (university,) but I couldn't tell (use) it (with) anybody. Why? It is because I can't tell (say) even one word in Thai. How embarrassed I am when I talk nothing (can't say anything) in Thai, my major. So I have decided to study Thai again after about 40 years from my graduation from University. (university.)
The reason why I can't tell (say) any words in Thai is that I can't have (haven't) had any opportunity to speak in Thai. I got a job in English and (job. And) at the office, I used (use) English only (and) not Thai. Recently we (have) visited Thailand for touring (to relax) and playing (play) golf. It's embarrassing to tell (say) nothing in Thai, even though it's my major.
Suddenly a thought struck me! "Yes. Do (Yes. I can do) it again. Let's (I will) study Thai!" (Thai!) But I hesitated because of this kind of thinking(:) "Is it possible? Am I too old to study it again?". (again?") My friend said to me(,) "NTL! NNQ! Never Too (too) Late! Never Never Quit". (never quit.") Yes! I will do it! I can do it!
I will go (to) Thailand because I want to practice the Thai language(,) which I have been (am) studying nowadays.
그치. go to Thailand. go to... to를 붙여야지.
Let me tell you why I am studying it now as follows: (now.)
but I couldn't tell (use) it (with) anybody.
Why? It is because I can't tell (say) even one word in Thai.
How embarrassed I am when I talk nothing (can't say anything) in Thai, my major.
talk 아니고 say
say nothing 이런 식으로 말고 can't say anything으로 쓸 것.
So I have decided to study Thai again after about 40 years from my graduation from University. (university.)
The reason why I can't tell (say) any words in Thai is that I can't have (haven't) had any opportunity to speak in Thai.
tell이 아니라 say any words
can't have had any opportunity 가 아니라
haven't had any opportunity로.
I got a job in English and (job. And) at the office, I used (use) English only (and) not Thai.
I got a job.
And at the office, I use English only and not Thai.
Recently we (have) visited Thailand
for touring (to relax) and playing (play) golf.
It's embarrassing to tell (say) nothing in Thai, even though it's my major.
기억하자. say nothing in Thai!
Suddenly a thought struck me! "Yes. Do (Yes. I can do) it again.
우리말 그런 뜻으로 Do it again. I can do it again. Do it again.
Let's (I will) study Thai!" (Thai!)
그냥 I will study Thai!
But I hesitated because of this kind of thinking(:) "Is it possible? Am I too old to study it again?". (again?")
My friend said to me(,) "NTL! NNQ! Never Too (too) Late! Never Never Quit". (never quit.) Yes! I will do it! I can do it!
Never too late. Never never quit.
I will go to Thailand because I want to practice the Thai language, which I am studying nowadays. Let me tell you why I am studying it now.
I majored in Thai when I was in university, but I couldn't use it with anybody. Why? It is because I can't say even one word in Thai. How embarrassed I am when I can't say anything in Thai, my major. So I have decided to study Thai again after about 40 years from my graduation from university.
The reason why I can't say any words in Thai is that I haven't had any opportunity to speak in Thai. I got a job. And at the office, I use English only and not Thai. Recently we have visited Thailand to relax and play golf. It's embarrassing to say nothing in Thai, even though it's my major.
Suddenly a thought struck me! Yes. I can do it again. I will study Thai! But I hesitated because of this kind of thinking: "Is it possible? Am I too old to study it again?" My friend said to me, "NTL! NNQ! Never too Late! Never never quit." Yes! I will do it! I can do it!
Thank you for completing Step 4. We appreciate your effort in writing something down. It is nice that you made an interesting piece of writing. We can see that you try to practice your English as much as you can. Good job!
Just take note of the difference between that and which.
That - limits the meaning of the word it modifies and is important to get the meaning of the sentence. Since it contains important information, it is not set off with commas:
I like the watch that my husband gave me.
Which - When the clause contains unimportant or additional information, it can be set off with commas. If you remove a clause with which from a sentence, the meaning does not change significantly.
Correct: My watch, which is expensive, got damaged because I accidentally dropped it.
Still correct: My watch got damaged because I accidentally dropped it.
Keep practicing your English to enrich your vocabulary further. We would love to hear more of your stories and ideas. Good day! :)
