What is your favorite day of the week? State your reason.

My favorite day of the week is Friday. I'll state my reason as follows. I go to Lotte Department Store to do an English conversation class with several women and a man with a native speaker. We have a textbook but we are too talkative even only with our stories. So, even though there are articles and questions in the textbook, we don't want to read them in class. We have so many things to talk about. The time has passed so quickly, that we have decided to do only questions not reading all of the units. Everybody was eager to say about their own life. After the class, we usually move to the restaurant or the cafe to talk more and more. They were the women who had been worked at the company with English in their youth days. However, nowadays they don't have the opportunity to speak in English except only in traveling abroad. In order not to forget to speak in English, they come here. We miss our youth days when we have worked proudly at the company with very fluent English. How wonderful it was to be said that your English was perfect!

We miss our youth days(youth) when we have worked(used to work) proudly at the company with very fluent English. How wonderful it was to be said(told) that your English was perfect!

We have a textbook(,) but we are too talkative even only with our stories.

but 앞에 콤마!

So, (So) even though there are articles and questions in the textbook, we don't want to read them in class.

The time has passed(Usually time passes) so quickly, (quickly) that we have decided to do only(decide to just answer the) questions not(without) reading all of the units.

Usually time passes so quickly that we decide to just answer the questions without reading all of the units.

Everybody was(is) eager to say (something) about their own life.

say something

After the class, we usually move to the(a) restaurant or the(a) cafe to talk more and more.

a restaurant 정해진 곳 아니니 the가 아니라 a

a cafe 역시 정해진 카페 아니니 the 가 아니라 a

They were(Some of) the women who had been worked(experienced working) at the company with English in their youth days.(youth.)

오호 Some of the women으로 해야겠구나.

Some of the women experienced working at the company... in their youth days가 아니라 그냥 in their youth로 그녀들의 젊은 날이 되는구나. 오케이~ Some of the women experienced working at the company with English in their youth.

However, nowadays they don't have the opportunity to speak in English except only in(when) traveling abroad.

아하. except only when traveling abroad~

In order not to forget (how) to speak in English, they come here.

In order not to forget how to speak in English, they come here.

We miss our youth days(youth) when we have worked(used to work) proudly at the company with very fluent English.

오호 이럴 땐 그냥 과거형을 쓰는구나. used to work...

How wonderful it was to be said(told) that your English was perfect!

Thank you for completing Step 4. We are impressed with your diligence to write something nice here. You expressed some of your ideas in English successfully, and that was a good job! Just study the corrections well. Also, please take note of the following tips:

1. A comma is not needed after coordinating conjunctions (such as and, but, so) when they start a sentence. But a comma is needed before them when they are between two clauses. However, when the two clauses are too short, the comma can be omitted.

EXAMPLES:
Those people are wonderful and optimistic. So hanging out with them helps me a lot.

They are really nice people, so I hang out with them.

My friends are cheerful people. And they like attending joyful events.

They are cheerful, and they like hanging out.

Those people are wonderful and optimistic. But I don't hang out with them a lot.
They are wonderful people, but they don't like going out.

I like you and you like me.

2. The words so and so that are used with a subject and a verb to make a clause. So that tells us for what purpose something is done. What was the intention or plan? In contrast, so tells us the effect. It tells us what happened as a result. So is preceded by a comma (,) but so that is not.

So는 앞에 콤마를 써주지만 so that은 콤마를 쓰지 않는다.

EXAMPLES:

I am writing this blog so that I can explain the difference between these two words.

I can explain the difference between these two words, so I am writing this blog.

We hope these simple explanations can help you a lot. Keep on expressing yourself in English. They say that constant correct practice makes perfect, so we believe you can do it much better next time! We'll be here to help you improve your English writing skill every step of the way, so keep writing. :)
