나는 민병철 영어로 일주일에 두 번씩 원어민과 짧은 대화를 하고 있다. 전업주부인 내가, 영어를 전혀 쓸 일 없는 내가, 한창 젊을 때 팔팔 날렸던 영어를 잊지 않기 위한 발버둥이다. 읽기 듣기 말하기 쓰기가 언어의 기본이라 생각하는 나는 아들의 추천으로 알게 된 이 프로그램을 참 좋아해서 지금 3년째 진행 중이다. 더 매력적인 것은 한 과가 끝날 때마다 200자의 영작 숙제가 있고 이 숙제를 하면 꼭 첨삭을 해서 되돌려 준다는 것이다.

시험 볼 일 없는 데 공부를 한다? 하하 이처럼 매력적인 게 없다. 그러나 일주일에 두 번 뿐이지만 그 영어수업시간은 그렇게나 빨리 닥쳐오고 예습 복습이 안 된 상황에서는 공부해봤자 전혀 소득이 없다고 생각하는 나는 취소를 하고 내가 공부가 다 되었을 때 예약을 해서 새로 수업을 한다. 스트레스받지 않고 내가 하고 싶을 때만 하겠다는 뜻이다. 그런데 그렇게 하니 문제는 나를 잘 아는 나의 담임선생님이 아니라 매 번 이 선생 저 선생 선생님이 바뀐다는 것이다. 그러나 어쩌랴. 그래도 난 그 어떤 구속이 싫은 걸. 예습 복습이 안되었으면 가차 없이 취소를 누르리라. 그리고 이렇게 시간이 될 때 공부하리라. 아주 즐겁게 하하

I can't answer that question because I don't have any job currently. But I can answer your next question according to the job experience I gained very long time ago.

Yes. Most people went out of their way to help me out when I first started. They introduced me to the persons who were there in the office where I was starting to work. They explained who is who and let me see the list that showed all the people in that office. It helped me a lot.

And of course, I went out of my way to help people out when they first started. I helped them at first by introducing the atmosphere of the office and whom they had to be careful of. And I helped them with what they had to do at first in the early morning when they came to the office.

And I went out for lunch with them because I knew how lonely they would be at lunchtime when they were newcomer. So I got close to them and tried many ways to listen to them. It makes me to become familiar with them.
