바빴다. 바쁘다. 왜? 글쎄 모르겠다. 난 그저 백수일뿐인데 가정주부일 뿐인데 왜 바쁠까? 왜 시간이 이리도 휙휙 갈까? 무언가로 바쁘다. 집에 있어도 바쁘고 모임에 가도 바쁘고 색소폰 연습에 가도 바쁘고 그냥 막 바쁘다. 이대로 세월만 가라 시구려 하고 있을 수 있을까? 정신을 똑바로 차리고!!! 할 일을 하자. 오예!!!
그리하여 바쁘다는 핑계로 내팽겨두었던 영어를 오늘 공부했다. 그리고 200자 원고 첨삭을 받았다. 영작을 해내고 첨삭받고 하는 것은 참 재미있다.

Why do you think many foreigners are studying Chinese these days?
Why I think many foreigners are studying Chinese these days is that China is becoming the greater country in his power in the world. There are so many Chinese in any country such as in Vancouver where my elder son lives and in Paris where my younger son lives. There are so many Chinese in the world and gives their influence everywhere. When I was a student in university, they said that we had to learn Chin ese because China would be bigger and bigger. I didn't believe it that time but now I felt that he was right and he had foresightedness in the world. My friend majored in China at that time when I was in university almost in 1976, so I as ked him "Why do you major in China?" he said "My uncle who was a professor of English department in the university recommend to major in Chinese because China would be a great country." I was not sure because at that time China was very poor and not a great country. But nowadays I feel that he was right and he had very much foresightedness in the world.
오늘의 첨삭에도 어김없이 부가적 설명이 따라왔다. 나는 이런 추가된 멘트가 있을 때 너무 기분 좋다.

글을 쓰고 나서 두 번 이상 꼭 다시 보아라. 어떤 단어나 문장에 확신이 없으면 꼭 사전을 찾아보라. 그리고 그 단어를 다시 사용해보라.
