이제 내일모레면 드디어 17일이다. 그 어떤 압박에서 해방되는 것이다. 무얼 하는 건 아니지만 마치 큰 시험을 앞두고 소설책을 읽는 다 든가 하면 느껴졌던 그 죄책감 비슷한 것이 자꾸 생긴다. 그래서 아무것도 안 하든가 아니면 무언가 이미 발간 한 책을 조금이라도 손을 보려 애쓰는 것이다. 최선을 다해서 지난 일 년간 글을 썼고 그 결과물들이다. 이제 다시 어떻게 때려 고치랴. 그래. 이번엔 첫 응모이니 몽땅 떨어지건 어쩌건 이젠 다른 사람들 꺼 구경을 하자. 아니, 그래도 일단 17일 지나고 구경하련다. 그래야 내 스타일에 지장이 없을 것 같다. 다른 사람들의 훌륭한 작품을 보면 '그래. 바로 브런치 북 응모는 이런 식으로 해야 할 거야' 하면서 이리저리 손 대기 시작하면 많은 날짜가 남은 것도 아니요 그야말로 뒤죽박죽이 되고야 말 것이다. 그렇겠지? 고민하는 중에 띵동~ 첨삭이 완료되었습니다. 도착하는 민병철 영어 안내. 하하 요걸 무시할 수는 없지. 잠시 휴식시간도 가질 겸 그래 여기 남겨야 한다.
