마차의 말과 같이 인공지능의 지시를 따라야 하는 신세가 된 인류

과거 영국에서 자동차 산업이 발전하지 못한 이유로 많이 인용되는 내용이 있다(The reason why the automobile industry has not developed in the UK in the past is cited as follows).

바로 마차를 보호하기 위해 자동차에 대해 너무 많은 규제를 영국이 했기 때문에 영국에서 자동차 산업이 발전하지 못하였다는 것이다.(It is that the car industry has not developed in the UK because the UK has imposed too many regulations on cars to protect wagons.)

위 사례는 새로운 기술이 나올 때 규제를 풀고 새로운 기술을 적극 받아들여야 하는 이유로 많이 사용되고 있다.(The above case is widely used as a reason to lift regulations and actively accept new technologies when new technologies come out.)

그럼 인공지능이라는 새로운 기술이 나온 지금에도 위 논리는 그대로 적용될 수 있는 것인가(Then, can the above logic be applied even now that a new technology called artificial intelligence has been released)

그러나, 영국의 과거 사례를 인공지능에 직접 적용하기는 어렵다.(However, it is difficult to apply the UK's past cases directly to artificial intelligence.)

마차나 자동차나 모두 인간의 지시에 따라 움직인다.(Both wagons and cars move according to human instructions.) 인간이 마차나 자동차의 지시에 따라 움직이는 것이 아니다.(Humans do not move according to the instructions of wagons or cars.)

그런데, 인공지능은 현재 사실상 인간을 지시하고 있는 것이 현실이다.(However, the reality is that artificial intelligence is currently actually directing humans.)

과거 영국에서 사람이 말을 지시해서 마차를 사용했었다.(In the past, in England, people ordered horses and used wagons.)

그런데, 이제 인간이 말의 신세로 전락하게 된 것이다.(However, humans are now reduced to the status of horses.)

왜냐하면, 현재 인간은 인공지능이 지시하는 대로 따르고 있는 것이 현실임을 부정할 수는 없기 때문이다.(This is because humans cannot deny that it is reality that they are currently following the instructions of artificial intelligence.)

인공지능의 도입으로 인간은 인공지능이라는 마부의 지시를 따르는 마차의 말과 같은 신세가 된 것이다.(With the introduction of artificial intelligence, humans have become like the horse of a carriage that follows artificial intelligence(the coachman)'s instructions.)

그러한 표현은 인간을 너무 비하하는 것이라고 항의할 사람도 있을 것이다.(Some may protest that such an expression is too demeaning to humans.)

그렇지만, 현실은 있는 그대로 보아야 한다.(However, reality should be viewed as it is.)

인공지능의 도입으로 인공지능의 지시에 따라 인간이 움직이는 것은 엄연한 사실이다. (With the introduction of artificial intelligence, it is clear that humans move according to the instructions of artificial intelligence.)

아무리 자동차가 발달을 하더라도 자동차는 인간의 지시대로 움직이는 것이다. (No matter how developed a car is, it is a car that moves according to human instructions.)

반면에 인공지능은 사실상 인간을 지시하는 주체가 되는 점에서 차이가 있다.(On the other hand, there is a difference in that artificial intelligence becomes actually the subject that directs humans.)

인공지능으로 인해서 마차의 말과 같은 신세가 된 인류 (Due to artificial intelligence, human who has become like a horse in a carriage)

위와 같은 현실을 누가 부정할 수 있는가(Who can deny the above reality)

인류는 모두 동의할 것이다.(The human race will all agree.) 인류는 절대로 마차의 말과 같은 신세가 되어서는 안 된다는 것을 말이다. (Humanity should never be in the same boat as the horse of a carriage.)

인공지능은 마부가 되어 인간을 지시하고, 인간은 말이 되어 인공지능의 지시에 따르는 일은 절대로 있어서는 안 된다.(The kind of thing that artificial intelligence becomes a coachman and directs humans, and humans become a horse who follows AI's instruction should never be realized.)

그런 이유로 우리 인류 한 사람 한 사람은 인공지능에 대해 깊은 생각을 하지 않으면 안 되는 것이다.(For that reason, each and every one of us must think deeply about artificial intelligence.)

인공지능에 대한 적절한 규제가 없으면, 우리 인류는 인공지능이라는 마부(마차의 마부가 된 인공지능)의 지시를 따라야 하는 말이 될 것이다.(Without proper regulations on artificial intelligence, we humans, like a horse who follows the orders of a coachman, will have to follow the instructions of artificial intelligence which becomse a coachman of a carriage.)

인류가 그런 말과 같이 되지 않으려면 인공지능에 대한 적절한 규제가 필요하다.(In order for mankind not to be like the horse of such a carriage, appropriate regulations on artificial intelligence are needed.)
