승리의 달콤함을 가장 잘 아는 이는
승리를 한 번도 이뤄보지 못한 이들.
천상의 음료의 맛은
가장 비통한 자들만이 이해할 수 있지.
오늘날까지 승전보가 전해지는
그 어떤 이도
승리의 의미를 그처럼
명백히 알 수 있는 자 아무도 없지
멀리서 울려 퍼지는 승리의 북소리가
고통스러우면서도 확실하게

패배하여 죽어가는 내쳐진 이들만큼.
