These days, a deep blue sea with enhanced saturation of two tones,

the scorching sun that disassembles weary daily memories into fragments

the soothing sound of leaves rustling in the night breeze,

enduring the heat by revisiting memories from my travel destinations

I am opening the album to shift my mood.

투톤이나 채도를 높인 깊고 푸른 요즘의 바다, 

지친 일상의 기억을 산산조각내는 작열하는 태양,

밤바람에 나뭇잎이 바스락 거리는 기분좋은 소리 

여행지의  추억을 되새기며 무더위를 견디고 있는 나는 기분전환을 위해 앨범을 펼쳐본다.

Traveling in Eastern Europe 5 yeas ago, I recognized Slovenia only as a small country in world history. I also confused this country with Slovakia. 

Slovenia was part of the Kingdom of Belgrade along with Serbia and Croatia. However, after World War II, it became a socialist country belonging to the Yugoslav Socialist Federation. 

It is a country that ever suffered a huge civil war and became independent when the Yugoslav Federation was disbanded in 1991. 

This historical fact helped to understand that Slovenia is a country with pain.

5년 전 동유럽을 여행하면서 나는 슬로베니아를 세계사의 작은 나라로만 인식했다. 

나는 이 나라를 슬로바키아와 혼동하기도 했다. 

슬로베니아는 세르비아, 크로아티아와 함께 베오그라드 왕국의 일부였지만 2차 세계대전 이후 

유고슬라비아 사회주의 연방에 속한 사회주의 국가가 되었다.

1991년 유고슬라비아 연방이 해체되면서 거대한 내전을 겪고 독립한 나라이다. 

이 역사적 사실은 슬로베니아가 고통을 가진 나라라는 것을 이해하는 데 도움이 되었다.

Lake Bled was made of the Alps' glaciers. 

A small island in the middle of this lake, and a castle on a hill were as picturesque. 

The lake is famous for its beautiful scenery and clean air, so a Swiss doctor founded a nursing home about 150 years ago to treat people who were addicted to opium.

 Many people were treated in this clear place while staying more than three weeks, and overcame opium only to become healthy. This for word spread all over Europe, and the beauty of Lake Bled was introduced.

블레드 호수는 알프스의 빙하로 만들어졌다.

이 호수 한가운데에 있는 작은 섬과 언덕 위에 있는 성이 그림처럼 아름다웠다.

그 호수는 아름다운 경치와 깨끗한 공기로 유명해서, 스위스의 한 의사가 약 150년 전에 아편에 중독된 사람들을 치료하기 위해 양로원을 설립했다고했다.

이 맑은 곳에서 3주 이상 머물면서 많은 사람들이 치료를 받았고, 아편을 이겨내고 건강해졌는데, 

이 소문이 유럽 전역에 퍼지면서 블레드 호수의 아름다움이 소개되기 시작했다고 전해진다.

We had to use the traditional Slovenian ferry to reach the island.

It is called Platina, and can be moved by rowing by a local boatman.

It is said that only 28 ships have operated since the 18th century to protect nature here.

Their pride seemed great when they heard the guide's explanation that their choice of this job had been going on for generations.

우리는 그 섬에 도착하기 위해 전통적인 슬로베니아 페리를 이용해야만 했다.

그것은 플라티나라고 불리고, 지역 뱃사공이 노를 저어서 이동할 수 있다.

이곳의 자연을 보호하기 위해 18세기 이후로 28척의 배만 운항했다고 했다.

그들이 이 직업을 선택한 것이 대대로 계속되어 왔다는 가이드의 설명을 들었을 때 

그들의 자부심은 대단해 보였다.

We could arrive at the island in about 10 minutes by boat. 

we had to walk up 99 steps from the dock to the cathedral.

The guide continue explained to us about the island.

 "In order to have a wedding in the church on this island, the bridegroom have to walk up with bride in his arms to the end of the stairs. After the bride and groom enter the church and get married, they praying for their happiness with ring the bell three times the bell in the middle of the church."

우리는 배로 10분 정도면 섬에 도착할 수 있었다.

선착장에서 성당까지 99계단을 걸어 올라가야 했다.

가이드는 계속해서 우리에게 그 섬에 대해 설명했다.

"이 섬의 교회에서 결혼식을 올리기 위해서는 신랑이 신부를 품에 안고 계단 끝까지 걸어 올라가야 하는데, 신랑과 신부가 교회에 들어와 결혼식을 한 후에는 교회 한가운데서 종을 세 번 울리며 행복을 기원합니다."

After hearing the story I thought that would be a very meaningful wedding. 

The island with Bled's beautiful lake and story will remain in my mind for a long time.

Bread Island was small, and when I went up the stairs, the church was the first thing I saw.

People went into the church and rang the bell's sound three times.

When it was my turn, I pulled the string of bells three times in hopes that everyone I know would be happy then heard the sound of the  all over bell's body.

It felt like a ritual and my feelings were strange.

it seems that the  sound  of the  church bells at that time still be heard as an echo. 

이야기를 듣고 나는 그것이 매우 의미 있는 결혼식이 될 것같다고 생각했다.

브레드의 아름다운 호수와 이야기가 있는 섬은 내 마음속에 오래도록 남을 것이다.

브레드 섬은  작았으며 계단을 올라가니 교회가 제일 먼저 보였다.

사람들은 교회로 들어가 벨소리를 세 번이나 울렸다.

내 차례가 되었을 때, 나는 내가 아는 모든 사람들이 행복하기를 바라는 마음으로 

세 번 줄을 당겼다. 그리자 종이 온몸으로 내는 소리가 들려왔다.

그것은 마치 의식처럼 느껴졌고  기분은 묘했다.

그때의 교회 종소리가 지금도 여전히 메아리처럼 들리는 것 같다.
