2018년 8월 15일. 오늘은 광복절(光復節)이다. ‘광복(光復)’이라는 말은 ‘빛을 되찾았다’는 의미이다. 우리나라는 1945년 8월 15일에 광복을 맞이했다. 그리고 올해는, 한국의 광복 73주년이다.

August 15, 2018. Today is National Liberation Day. The word ‘gwangbok’ means ‘restoration of light.’ Our country regained independence on August 15, 1945. And This year marks Korea's 73st anniversary of National Liberation Day.

Korean Independence Movement Day is on 1st March. We anounced our independece willness to the world. It announced on 1919 but we totally indepenced on 1945. It was really long and hard Japanese occupation. From 1910, Korean was robbed of freedom by Japan. So many people sacrificed for independence. Countless people had through unspeakable suffering. Japan tried to wipe hangul off the world and enslaved korean.

And still, the victim of Japanese occupation is in pain. Of course there descendant have hard time even now. Even though, Japan has been insisting that Japanese occupation period made korean economic development and Japanese occupation helped korea.

It's history distortion obviously.

여전히 일제강점기의 희생자는 고통 속에 살고, 여전히 그의 자손들도 힘든 시간을 보내. 그럼에도 일본은 이 시기가 '한국 경제 발전의 시기'라고 주장하며 일본이 한국에 도움을 주던 시기라고 말해."
