Bob Goff의 "Love Does"를 읽고

책 읽기 좋은 날

사랑에 빠진 사람을 곁에 가까이 두고 관찰하는 것도 사랑하는 법을 익히는 하나의 좋은 방법이 될 수 있겠다. 그게 현실에서 어렵다면 이런 책을 읽어서 간접적으로라도 배워야 할 것이다. 사랑함은 그만한 값어치가 있기 때문이다. 

이론과 실천 사이엔 늘 예시가 필요하듯 사랑하는 데 있어서 스승은 많을수록 좋다. 하지만 무엇보다 이 책의 저자처럼 예수님의 삶을 깊이 묵상하고 그분이 가르쳐 주신 진리를 삶에 적용하는 법부터 먼저 배워야 하겠다. 내가 천사의 말한다 해도 내 맘에 사랑 없으면 아무 소용 없으니...

"I think Lynn got the message. I was fine, and I wanted her to be fine too. I wanted her to forgive herself, to realize we all make mistakes. I'm glad I ran into Lynn, and I'm glad she kept calling too. It taught me something about faith. It taught me that when God is big enough and loves me enough to say He forgives me, I should actually believe Him.
