윤곽이 도드라진 곳에 그녀의 연분홍빛 젖꼭지가 달랑거렸다. 그는 주체할 수 없는 욕망을 느끼며 말랑한 가슴을 만졌다. 그리고는 그녀의 불룩한 허리를 천천히 쓰다듬었다.
미세한 움직임. 그는 보름달처럼 부푼 제냐의 배에서 생명의 신비로움을 느꼈다. 눈으로 다시 보고 귀를 갖다 댔다. 규칙적인 심장 소리가 들려오는 듯하였다.
그는 점점 달아오르는 자신을 느꼈다. 숨을 쉴 때마다 뜨거운 김이 목을 태우는 듯하였다. 그는 이윽고 침을 한번 꿀꺽 삼키고는 확신에 찬 어조로 그녀에게 속삭였다.
“그곳은…. 내 어머니가 나를 잉태한 곳이니까.”
