the forgotten

statues of korean war @ war memorial

White clouds were slowly floating in the blue sky. It was a typical image of peace no matter what political turmoil they suffer in this country now.

Crossing the beautiful water by subway always reminds me of the term, Miracle of Han River though it might be an expression which is too mundane and politically massaged.

But there would be no denial or negation from any party for describing Korea as one and only one country in the world shifted from the poorest to one of the most properous in such a short period of time.

Under current regime this place of war memorial has been deserted for a long time till now poorly maintained. The pro-communism totalitarian government treats this place just as one of amusement parks not as an extension of national cemetry. I counld’t see any sign of respect or appreciation for those who fell down for their fatherland or for what they believed to defend.

Everybody knows where the bullets were fired from to kill our soldiers.

And all the records of history is telling how the war happened though the party under power tries hard to hide and compromise all the facts. They have totally different set of ethical codes. Lying or fabrication doesn’t mean anything to them if it is to achieve their mission. Bye bye democracy, welcome red kingdom.

Each one of those statues was so touching and made me feel so sad.

We are living in totally different Korea. Thesis- antithesis- synthesis? Maybe or it might a fate of South Korea as a nation tragically..

Stay well guys somehow.
