029. 호스텔 엘프-하

A short talk with Tinashe and Tom

  호스텔 엘프에서 정신없는 술자리를 가지기 전에, 잠시 근처를 둘러볼 계획이었다. 나는 먼저 나갈 준비를 마치고 호스텔 로비에 앉아서 쉬었다. 그 때 옆자리에 톰과 티나쉬가 앉아서 쉬고 있었다. 쭈뼛쭈뼛 있다가 말을 걸었다.

  I hung around the hostel before having a BBQ party in hostel. I just chilled out for 30 minutes in the lobby. At that time Tinashe and Tom also chilled out at the same place. I hesitated but tried talking to them.

 Hello? How’s your trip?

  그 한 마디 인사를 하는 게 왜 이렇게 어렵던지. 그 말 한 마디 이후에는 대화가 수월하게 풀렸다. 내 짧은 프라하 탐방과 그 둘의 프라하 여행 이야기,  특히나 James Dean에서 Jack Daniel 한 병 원샷하고 Chainsaw에 다칠 뻔한 이야기로 화제는 강에 흐르는 카누처럼 손쉽게 이어졌다. 여행오기 전 생활에 대한 질문에 한국 군대에 대해서 짧은 한탄을 늘어놓기도 했다. 티나쉬의 대답이 아직도 기억난다.(We are experiencing too much freedom) 여행 일정 탓에 James Dean 을 가보지 못한 건 너무나 아쉽다. 만약 그 둘이 한국에 올 일이 있다면, 한국의 James Dean을 추천해 주기로 했다. 근데 한국에 전기톱들고 노는 클럽이 있나?

  How difficult it is for me to say a word. After that, however, I felt less nervous as well as talked much more easily. We talked about the way of enjoying a trip, especailly James Dean experience of Tinashe and Tom. It is so interesting. It is too bad that I have no time to go to James Dean due to the trip plan. If they had a chance to come to Korea, I would recommend a James Dean in Korea. By the way, Is there a club with chainsaw in Korea?
