41. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.’ ”
Reading these verses, I got to know for sure about the reasons why the Israelites put Jesus on the cross. Based on these commands of God, Jesus was the man of breaking the Sabbath, and a blasphemous native-born man, so, to their eyes, Jesus deserved to death. And about the tassels of their clothes that was forced to tie it around the clothes as a reminder of God's Word, Jesus rebuked them, saying, “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long."
And Jesus also told that He was the Lord of sabbath, doing something good to cure the sick.
When I see Jesus' behaviors and words in the perspective of the teachers of the law, he was a man who should be stoned to death, but considering the essence of the Word, everything that Jesus told was the truth. The problem was that the listeners never understoodd it or they never tried to hear and understand as they were not the children of God.
Nevertheless, I think that the Words of God is meaningful and they are all for me to keep and follow the essential lessons, so I will keep this warning in mind for today. Don't prostitute yourself by chasing after the lusts of hearts and eyes and remember that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt (slavery)to be your God. I am the LORD your God.
