예레미야(Jer) 3장

9. 그가 돌과 나무와 더불어 행음함을 가볍게 여기고 행음하여 이 땅을 더럽혔거늘

9. Because Israel’s immorality mattered so little to her, she defiled the land and committed adultery with stone and wood.

10. 이 모든 일이 있어도 그의 반역한 자매 유다가 진심으로 내게 돌아오지 아니하고 거짓으로 할 뿐이니라 여호와의 말씀이니라

10. In spite of all this, her unfaithful sister Judah did not return to me with all her heart, but only in pretense,” declares the LORD.

14. 여호와의 말씀이니라 배역한 자식들아 돌아오라 나는 너희 남편임이라 내가 너희를 성읍에서 하나와 족속 중에서 둘을 택하여 너희를 시온으로 데려오겠고

14. “Return, faithless people,” declares the LORD, “for I am your husband. I will choose you—one from a town and two from a clan—and bring you to Zion.

God compares the relationship with Israelites to a wife who was sexually or mentally defiled and got a certificate of divorce from a righteous husband. In reality, in a modern society, divorce means the end of the relations between both, no matter how long they have lived or how much did they love each other.

 However, our Father still waits for them to return to Him, not caring what they have done or what kind of lives have they lived so far. What a merciful Father!

Actually, fatherhood or motherhood comes from God, our Father, because we were made according to His image and by His nature. These days, sadly, I often hear the news of killing their own children or babies by their own hands.  

I believe that we need to seek God and return to Him more than ever, as this period is getting more and more corrupt and evil, and there is no other way for us to get saved from this disasterous, i mean, spiritually wicked circumstance, and there is no other God who is alive and who loves us more than Him.
