Where is the Lord?

예레미야(Jer) 2장

6. 그들이 우리를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내시고 광야 곧 사막과 구덩이 땅, 건조하고 사망의 그늘진 땅, 사람이 그 곳으로 다니지 아니하고 그 곳에 사람이 거주하지 아니하는 땅을 우리가 통과하게 하시던 여호와께서 어디 계시냐 하고 말하지 아니하였도다

6. They did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and ravines, a land of drought and utter darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?’

8. 제사장들은 여호와께서 어디 계시냐 말하지 아니하였으며 율법을 다루는 자들은 나를 알지 못하며 관리들도 나에게 반역하며 선지자들은 바알의 이름으로 예언하고 무익한 것들을 따랐느니라

8. The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the LORD?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.

31. 너희 이 세대여 여호와의 말을 들어 보라 내가 이스라엘에게 광야가 되었었느냐 캄캄한 땅이 되었었느냐 무슨 이유로 내 백성이 말하기를 우리는 놓였으니 다시 주께로 가지 아니하겠다 하느냐

31. “You of this generation, consider the word of the LORD: “Have I been a desert to Israel or a land of great darkness? Why do my people say, ‘We are free to roam; we will come to you no more’?

Consider the Word of the Lord asking, "Where is the Lord?"

God seems to want me to seek Him through the Word and also by remembering what He has done to me until now. Then, I will never forsake Him by pursuing any other idols, which is the biggest sin to Him.

His Word is the spring of the living water, which makes me fully satisfied whenever I seek it. It provides me with peace, wisdom, and oftentimes repentance as well, and it always becomes the truly living water to me. This is the reason I seek Him whenever my souls feel thirsty and get hungry.
