The Word of God
예레미야(Jer) 6장
14. 그들이 내 백성의 상처를 가볍게 여기면서 말하기를 평강하다 평강하다 하나 평강이 없도다
14. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. ‘Peace, peace,’ they say, when there is no peace.
15. 그들이 가증한 일을 행할 때에 부끄러워하였느냐 아니라 조금도 부끄러워 하지 않을 뿐 아니라 얼굴도 붉어지지 않았느니라 그러므로 그들이 엎드러지는 자와 함께 엎드러질 것이라 내가 그들을 벌하리니 그 때에 그들이 거꾸러지리라 여호와의 말씀이니라
15. Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them,” says the LORD.
19. 땅이여 들으라 내가 이 백성에게 재앙을 내리리니 이것이 그들의 생각의 결과라 그들이 내 말을 듣지 아니하며 내 율법을 거절하였음이니라
19. Hear, you earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my law.
According to these warnings through a prophet, Jeremiah, not knowing about our own faults or sinful behaviors and also not being ashamed of it comes from not knowing the Word of God, and, accordingly, we reject His law as well.
What is the role of the Word of God? It leads us to the way where we humans should go, so that we may get the eternal life, which is called the truth. However, these days, everything seems to change day by day, so few are seeking the truth, or they don't feel the need of it any more, which is of course my viewpoint.
In my case, the Word of God has played an important role of my life like a lamp in darkness throughout my life, and it is still like an automatically updating modern navigation.
I mean, without it, I could have easily lost in life, because i am not good at directions, so I make it a habit to read it on a daily basis in order to get the right direction of where I am going to.
As the result, I could avoid some kinds of disasters that might happen to me many times and, blissfully, I have been enjoying the blessings that I could get by meditating the Word and keeping it in mind as well, as God promised the blessings through Josuah, in verse 1:8.

8. 이 율법책을 네 입에서 떠나지 말게 하며 주야로 그것을 묵상하여 그 안에 기록된 대로 다 지켜 행하라 그리하면 네 길이 평탄하게 될 것이며 네가 형통하리라
8. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
