예레미야(Jer) 18장
3. 내가 토기장이의 집으로 내려가서 본즉 그가 녹로로 일을 하는데
3. So I went down to the potter’s house, and I saw him working at the wheel.
4. 진흙으로 만든 그릇이 토기장이의 손에서 터지매 그가 그것으로 자기 의견에 좋은 대로 다른 그릇을 만들더라
4. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.
A potter would try to make his or her pottery best until they shape it as they want. Likewise, our Father God shows His mind for us, His children. I mean He wants to give good things to all humans and He has already given to humans all good things with and in which we live, but we rarely understand and, sadly, few seems to show gratitude to our maker.
Moreover, we tend to follow the stubbornness of our evil hearts more than His decrees or commands, which are most likely to be beneficial. The result of it is failure and disasters eventhough we now consider ourselves as having successful lives.
I am a mom of two young adults and i hope to give them all good things, but I sometimes hesitate to abundantly pour them with what i have, because I worry about spoiling them because of what I give them without any conditions. In realty, I have experienced it several times as they are not mature enough to make use of well what has been given to by mom. So I am waiting for them to get ready for that, and it could be the blessings to them. They don't have to work hard or although they work hard to make it, it will take so long, so they' d better to be obedient to parents and God who are always ready to give them more abundantly than they imagine. I don't mean that they should be lazy goofing around, rather they had better to depend their lives on their maker and parents who want to give best to them and are eligible for that as well.
