필자는 20대와 30대 업무나 개인적인 인연으로 꾀나 괜찮은 여성을 만날 기회가 비교적 많았다. 그 시절 왕성한 사회 활동으로 여유 자금도 있었고, 또 여성을 접할 기회도 자연스럽게 많았다. 만나는 대부분의 여성들 반응이 "당신 하고 같이 밥을 먹으면 밥 맛이 참 좋아요"부터 "사람을 참 편하게 해 주시네요" 등 여성들로부터 호감을 느끼는 그런 얘기를 종종 듣곤 했다. 누군가는 이렇게도 이야기했다. 여성들을 많이 만나면 만날수록 여성의 음기가 전이되어서 점점 여성들이 선호하는 남자가 될 것이다고...

40세가 지나고부터는, 그저 밥만 먹고사는 교육 업무로, 여유 돈도 많지 않고, 40세 이상의 여성 특성상 그렇게 남자를 만나고 싶지 않기에, 그 옛날의 향수에 이 아침 한번 젖어 본다!
