Israel’s current prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, may finally be on his way out of office. After failing to win a majority of parliamentary seats in last March's election, his former protege, Naftali Bennett, appears poised to lead a broad and potentially fractious coalition into government. Mr Netanyahu called Mr Bennett’s declaration “the fraud of the century”.

The bill passed the battleground state’s Senate on Sunday morning and now will be voted on by the Republican-dominated House before being passed to Governor Greg Abbott, who is expected to sign it. President Joe Biden had previously called the bill “an assault on democracy”.

Protests against Mr Lukashenko were held in America, Australia and Europe on Sunday.

Goldman Sachs, a bank, is set to increase its investment in Japanese property to ¥250 billion ($2.28bn) from a previous range of ¥100-150bn, making it one of the biggest biggest foreign investors in Japanese real-estate. It will concentrate on acquiring facilities that have seen increased demand during the pandemic, such as logistics hubs and data centres.
