사놓고 안 읽은 책 다 읽기 프로젝트
사면이 책장으로 둘러싸인 서재를 꿈꾸는 나는, 책을 사는데 주저함이 없었다. 세 권을 사면 두 권 정도를 읽고 한 권 정도는 남는 식으로 몇 년을 보내고 나니 사놓고 읽지 않은 책들이 점점 쌓이기 시작했다. 주기적으로 마음에 들지 않는 책들은 기부하는데, 안 읽은 책은 방출할 수도 없다.
그러다 돈 벌 욕심은 버리고 일단 글을 읽고 쓰는 데만 집중하기로 마음을 먹고 나니 가계 경제가 여유롭지 못해, 긴축재정에 들어간 지 일 년이다. 책을 사는데 조금 주저하게 되었지만, 여전히 읽고 싶은 책은 결국 사고 말았다.
2026년 새해에는 그러지 않겠다고 큰 결심을 했다. 시집과 철학서적을 제외한 모든 안 읽은 책들을 꺼내 책장 전면에 쌓아두었다.
문학과 비문학. 각 분야의 책들을 다 읽기 전에 같은 분야의 책은 사지 않기.
